Military and Family Readiness Center (M&FRC)
Personal Financial Readiness (PFR) Services
The Scott AFB M&FRC PFR program offers personal financial services including: information, education, and counseling for Airmen, Guardians, family members, retirees, and DOD Civilians.
The goals of the M&FRC PFR programs are to improve financial literacy and improve personal financial stability. Our services are centered on education and helping our Airmen and Guardian families’ manage their personal finances.
Specific program offerings are listed below:
Individual Personal Financial Counseling – available for a wide variety of circumstances to include personal budget counseling, credit and debt management strategies, estate planning, home buying, education on investing in the TSP, and much more.
Financial Education – available in individual and group settings for a wide variety of topics ranging from basic budgeting to saving and investing. Please visit the Appointment Plus link on the M&FRC home page (www.scottafrc.com) to sign up for classes!
Emergency Financial Assistance – available to Active Duty and Retired service members of all military branches in concert with the applicable relief society (i.e. Air Force Aid Society, Army Emergency Relief, Navy Marine Corps Relief etc.). Applicants will utilize the Air Force Aid Society link on the M&FRC home page (www.scottafrc.com) to apply for assistance.
Financial Readiness Training – touchpoint training prescribed by DOD and AF guidelines provides relevant financial education across the continuum of a military member’s career. Training curriculum delivery available for First Duty Station Training, Thrift Savings Plan Vesting, Continuation Pay, Transition, Pre and Post Deployment, Marriage, Divorce, Birth of First Child, Disabling Sickness or Condition, PCS, and Promotion.
