2018 AMC

Executive Transition Assistance Program (ETAP)

and Chiefs’ Transition Assistance Program (CTAP)

 

PURPOSE: Workshops designed to prepare participants for executive-level employment.

 

TARGET AUDIENCE:  O6+ and E9 members within five years of retirement. Priority members are those with an approved retirement date. Spouses may attend on a space available basis.

 

NOTE: Completion of ETAP/CTAP is optional and does not meet congressional mandates set about by the VOW (Veterans Opportunity to Work) Act.  Retiring members must still complete 1) Pre-separation Counseling, 2) Veterans Affairs Benefits Briefing I & II, and 3) Capstone (certain deliverables required). These requirements should be scheduled separately with your A&FRC. QUESTIONS? Contact your local Airman & Family Readiness Center.

ETAP (O6 & above):  10 – 13 Jul 2018

CTAP (E9s only):  16 – 19 Jul 2018

 

LOCATION:  Bldg 1650, Scott AFB Airman & Family Readiness Center (A&FRC)

 

FACILITATOR: Ms. Susan Thompson (Stewart, Cooper & Coon, Executive Outplacement) AMC ETAP/CTAP workshops since 2005.

 

REGISTRATION: Interested participants may register online through the following Sharepoint sites:

Registration will close two weeks prior to each class, or when the class is full (35 participants).

 

WORKSHOP MATERIALS:  Approximately one week prior to each workshop, A&FRC will provide an agenda, class “homework” and “rules of engagement” to registered participants.

 

**Working lunch scheduled during one day of the seminar.  Approximate cost is $12/per person.

 

PRIORITY/ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: A&FRC will defer priority/eligibility issues to AMC A1/DA1 for response.

  1. AMC personnel with an approved retirement date
  2. AMC personnel
  3. AF personnel assigned to Scott AFB
  4. AF personnel
  5. Sister Service personnel assigned to Scott AFB

 

PERMISSIVE TDY: Members may attend ETAP/CTAP workshop via permissive TDY in accordance with AFI 36-3003, 11 May 2016, Table 4.5, and Rule 5. PTDY must occur within 180 days of retirement date.
