Executive Transition Assistance Program (ETAP)
and Chiefs’ Transition Assistance Program (CTAP)
PURPOSE: Workshops designed to prepare participants for executive-level employment.
TARGET AUDIENCE: O6+ and E9 members within five years of retirement. Priority members are those with an approved retirement date. Spouses may attend on a space available basis.
NOTE: Completion of ETAP/CTAP is optional and does not meet congressional mandates set about by the VOW (Veterans Opportunity to Work) Act. Retiring members must still complete 1) Pre-separation Counseling, 2) Veterans Affairs Benefits Briefing I & II, and 3) Capstone (certain deliverables required). CTAP (E9s only): 16 – 19 Jul 2018
LOCATION: Bldg 1650, Scott AFB Airman & Family Readiness Center (A&FRC)
FACILITATOR: Ms. Susan Thompson (Stewart, Cooper & Coon, Executive Outplacement) AMC ETAP/CTAP workshops since 2005.
REGISTRATION: Interested participants may register online through the following Sharepoint sites:
Registration will close two weeks prior to each class, or when the class is full (35 participants).
WORKSHOP MATERIALS: Approximately one week prior to each workshop, A&FRC will provide an agenda, class “homework” and “rules of engagement” to registered participants.
**Working lunch scheduled during one day of the seminar. Approximate cost is $12/per person.
PRIORITY/ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: A&FRC will defer priority/eligibility issues to AMC A1/DA1 for response.
PERMISSIVE TDY: Members may attend ETAP/CTAP workshop via permissive TDY in accordance with AFI 36-3003, 11 May 2016, Table 4.5, and Rule 5. PTDY must occur within 180 days of retirement date.
