Departing Scott AFB

 

Receiving orders for a new assignment can be an exciting but stressful time. The
A&FRC is available to assist as you prepare to relocate  and offers a
variety of services for assistance.

  • Search the DoD Military Installations database to help with the move to your next duty station. Find important phone numbers, reporting instructions, base services, etc.
  • Create a calendar for your transfer using the “Plan My Move” feature.

 

Sponsorship:

 

All AF members should be assigned a sponsor at their gaining location to assist them in preparing for their move as well as helping during the new arrival.

  • If you have not heard from a sponsor and within 90 days of your RNLTD, contact the A&FRC for assistance in locating your sponsor.

 

"Get Your Move On"

 

An optional workshop for military members and spouses preparing for a PCS move. Individuals planning their final separation or retirement relocation are also invited to attend. Briefers include: Finance, TRICARE, TMO, and Base Housing.

 

Unaccompanied Assignments

 

Individuals selected for an “UNACCOMPANIED ASSIGNMENT” who are married OR have dependents are required to complete a “Remote Tour Briefing”.

  • Members will receive Information and enrollment into the A&FRC’s Hearts Apart Program for family members of those with an unaccompanied assignment. Spouses are highly encouraged to attend with the member.

 

Loan Locker

 

In preparing for your departure, the A&FRC Loan Locker  is available to provide loaner household items as you await the arrival of your items. Call (618) 256-3616 for up-to-date information.
