Eligibility Statement: DoD Personnel & families - including military members, all Service & Guard, Reserve, military retirees, DoD civilians, NAF personnel & immediate family members. Other uniformed services include US Coast Guard, National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration, uniformed State Department personnel, Public Health Service personnel & members of units assigned or attached to a US installation.

There is a STATEWIDE problem in getting individuals to serve as substitute teachers.  St Clair County schools share this challenge.  Attached are the forms for individuals to get on the Master Substitute Teachinglist.  Substitute teachers do not need teacher credentials, they only need a

bachelor's degree.

 

It is much easier for teachers with out of state credentials to get Illinois teaching licenses.  Interested

individuals can contact the St Clair County Regional Office of Education at (618) 825-3900.

 

Individuals with an Associate's Degree OR who complete a paraprofessional course (offered at SWIC) can substitute as paraprofessionals (or work full-time as para-professionals - there is a great need for those individuals as well).
